The disconnection from nature is having a negative impact on humans because we are missing out on the beneficial effects of nature. As a result, we are less connected to nature and feel less responsibility to protect the environment. Our ancestors were in awe of nature, and never saw themselves as separate from it. They gave thanks for their harvests, sharing it with their community as well as the birds and animals.
