Flick through the wildlife channels on your tv and chances are you’ll come across a documentary about one of Africa’s predators… lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas. Most are filmed from a distance, with long telephoto lenses. But in Zimbabwe, a wildlife filmmaker has turned this style on its head. He befriends the predators… runs, hunts, sleeps and swims with them. This is Kim Wolhuter, multi-award-winning wildlife filmmaker, a man who has recognised that he is as much part of nature as the animals he films.
