Some say that predicting fashion trends is like predicting the weather. In Johannesburg South Africa, one young designer seems to have found the magic formula. 34-year-old Ekta Kalan is a designer with a vision for her consumers. Since childhood, Ekta has spent much of her free time sketching everything from animals and landscapes, to people and the clothes they were wearing. Ekta finds inspiration in the history and the cultures of the places she visits. And for this globetrotting fashionista whose clothes are sold around the globe – the world is her muse.
