Imagine a place where artists are encouraged to let their minds run free, where dancers and athletes take performance-art to a whole new level. A place where the beauty of Africa’s musical traditions evoke emotion and magic, and filmmakers create eye-popping work based less on budget and more on vision. This is the centre for ‘The Less Good Idea’. As one of South Africa’s most prolific artists, William Kentridge came to the realisation a year ago that he had reached a point in his career where he could help other artists get their work noticed.
